Men's leather slippers

For some reason I find buying presents for men always difficult. Unlike buying presents for women who are most of the time easily pleased, men are more utilitarian and thus more difficult to find a present that will be needed and appreciated as opposed to be left in a corner for the next garage sale.

Being brought up in a household where boys outnumbered the girls I learnt that one thing you can never go wrong with when buying a present for a man is buying him slippers. Thankfully for me, when I grew up I encountered feminism, and the pleasure of having a cook at home. My dreams changed, but I always kept the idea that a man should have a good pair of slippers waiting for him at home!

Why leather slippers?

As I mentioned before, I always found hideous those funny slippers that my brothers wore to scare the dog and poor old aunt Mary. I always preferred my dad’s choice for classy leather slippers. They always looked good worn indoors or outdoors.
